How Bybit fee rebates work, and how to get yours
Every trade you place on Bybit pays a fee. Part of that fee can come back to you every day. Here is the mechanism, the numbers, and the three steps to start.
You are already paying for this
Every order on Bybit costs a fee: around 0.02% for maker orders and 0.055% for taker orders on perpetuals, 0.1% on spot before discounts. For an active trader that adds up to hundreds or thousands of USDT a month, paid silently on every fill.
Bybit shares a slice of those fees with the affiliate who introduced the trader. That is the affiliate commission. Most affiliates keep all of it. A rebate program gives part of it back to you.
The mechanism, step by step
- You register on Bybit through a referral link. From that moment Bybit marks your account as referred by that affiliate. This cannot be added later, so the link has to be used at sign-up.
- You trade normally. Same fees, same interface, nothing changes on your side.
- Bybit pays the affiliate a commission on the fees you generated. It is reported per user, per day, in the affiliate's own dashboard and API.
- The rebate program returns a share of that commission to you. On RebateYou the share is tiered: the more you trade in a 30-day window, the higher the percentage.
- You withdraw whenever you want. Payouts are internal Bybit transfers to your own UID, so they arrive instantly once sent and carry no network fee.
What the numbers look like
Say you pay 1,000 USDT in fees in a month and the affiliate receives 50% of that, 500 USDT. At a 40% rebate tier you get 200 USDT back. Your effective fee just dropped by 20%, with no change to how you trade. At the highest tier it is more.
Your dashboard shows the commission Bybit reported for your UID each day, the tier applied, and the credit. It is Bybit's number, not an estimate.
Why you do not need to hand over an API key
Your Bybit UID is enough. The affiliate's own API can confirm whether a UID belongs to its referral tree, so the check is instant and nothing of yours is exposed. Payouts only ever go to that same UID, which means a wrong or stolen UID gains nothing. We never ask for an API key.

- Create a RebateYou account and enter your Bybit UID.
- Trade. Your first credit appears the day after your first fill.
